Life's a Beach
Life's a Beach... be Free!
While "clothing-optional" getaways are a rarity in Asia, such nude holiday spots are an increasing norm in other parts of the world. This article takes a look at several of these hot spots.

The Americas plays host to some of the most luxurious nude holiday getaways. The Hidden Beach Resort in Cancun (www.hiddenbeachresort.com) for example, is the only luxury accommodation of its kind along the Mayan Riviera. Though what may seem to be a hefty US$300 per person fee, its liberating experience is one of a kind.
Nude experiences would not be complete without nude spas, such as those throughout the United States, which can be easily located on www.spafinder.com. Parker Palm Springs, for example, offers separate women's and men's areas with pools and relaxation areas, all of which can be enjoyed in the nude.
If sailing the seven seas is more your cup of tea, then try the packages offered by Bare Necessities (www.bare-necessities.com). The travel company's nude Hawaiian Cruise scheduled for 2010 (which can accommodate 2000 passengers) is already almost fully booked. Also available is a seven-day Greek cruise in September, which averages at US$2000 per cabin. Sail along the Danube onboard the Danube Adult Cruise by Castaways Travel (www.danubeadultcruise.com) which voyages from Budapest to Vienna to Nuremberg for about US$3000 per person.
Exercising also takes a whole new meaning with the introduction of nude yoga retreats offered by the Kalani Oceanside Retreat in Hawaii (www.kalani.com) or nude mountain biking and cycling, such as the Brighton's World Naked Bike Ride, which encourages cyclists to go "as bare as you dare."
A travel operator in Germany has even made flying the friendly skies "friendlier" with its all-nude charter flights (www.ossiurlaub.de) for customers heading off to the Baltics. You only take your clothes off once airborne, although the crew behaves (they keep theirs on the whole way).
