Pulau Sakijang Bendera

Another southern island, Pulau Sakijang Bendera, is usually known as St John's Island. Historically, it used to be a quarantine station for leprosy cases detected in immigrants, as well as a penal settlement. Traces of which have been completely wiped off as this large hilly island is now a tranquil getaway with conveniences such as swimming lagoons, beaches, picnic grounds, trekking routes and soccer fields. It is perfect for camping trips or a simple weekend visit. You can also choose to put up at the colonial bungalows that are available for rent. Enquire at the World Trade Center ticket counter for more information.

Pulau Sakijang Pelepah

Pulau Sakijang Pelepah literally translates to ‘Island of One Barking Deer and Palms’ but it is more commonly known as - Lazurus Island, which is also found at the South of Singapore. This tiny southern island, with its laid-back ambience, white sandy beaches and tranquil waters offer a wonderful solace from city life. Swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving are activities that can be done here, however the current can be quite strong so it is recommended only for the experienced.
