Badoque's Corner
Well this adventure did not end there for the best was indeed saved for last… DESSERT! The desserts on offer here at Badoque are indeed overwhelming with its’ offers of about 14 kinds of cakes and 8 flavours of gelato daily. If like me, you can’t decide on which of the cakes to have, not to worry, the menu offers you a multitude of different kinds of dessert platters like the really popular cheesecake platter, a choice of 8 mini cheesecakes for as low $8.50 With its mini-size, you could simply have a platter of 10 or 12 cakes of your choice, without feeling too indulgent.
But its winning dessert would have to be the “I Scream Extreme”. This consists of a mix of 3 scoops of gelato with 3 cute slices of cake. We tried a mix of After Eight (Mint), Tiramisu and Mango gelato with slices of Blueberry Bavarois, Strawberry Mousse and Chocolate Orange. The experience of that could be summed up by what our friendly owner, Shaikh, who says before it was served to us, “Get Ready for War!” Well, if you ask me, wars can be averted with desserts like this! An absolutely delectable and decadent rush!
Come this1st April, Badoque will offer a new menu with global cuisine.
There are several things that make Badoque stand out from the other eating joints in Simpang Bedok.
1) Service – Badoque prides itself on its very very friendly service-oriented staff, who are never without a smile nor jolly nature. They are very attentive to your needs and water refills are aplenty by the very doting staff.
2) Ambience – unlike the rest of Simpang Bedok, where u can barely hear yourself, Badoque offers a quaint little escape from the noise with their soothing chillout background music and contemporary black and lime décor. And come the end of April, the outdoor area of Badoque will be revamped with lush al fresco seating.
3) Reasonable prices – despite its café exterior, prices in Badoque are reasonable, and possibly even cheaper than its neighbours. Ask any Simpang Bedok regular and they’ll without a doubt tell you about the rising cost of food items in the area. Gone are the days when your teh cino and roti prata combination was less than 5 bucks! In addition to this, Badoque does not charge any service tax… YaY!
But my personal favorite is that they've got very good looking staffs.
So the next time you’re at Simpang Bedok, opt for serene and friendly Badoque and say goodbye to noise, crowds and overpriced Ice Milo Dinosaurs!

Got to know the exotic meaning behind the name.
My take on the place - it's Zen meets Andy Warhol.
My take on the menu - uncommonly classy.
It really is chill-able.
It's a place you can chill with just guys for garang nonsense.
It's a place you can chill with your wife and treat is as a first date venue.
Romantic plus chic.
Music is un-vomittably blaring.
Wish they'd sell the Badoque experience in a CD.
Drop by - you won't feel gawked at cos you're just gonna BADOQUE there, like everyone else.
Last but not least, it's not a place to be seen but it's a place to be.
