Itchytraveller.com Top Travel Movies Part 3
Roman Holiday, Rome, Italy
Filmed entirely in Rome, this movie which starred both Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn is a tale of a chance meeting between Joe Bradley (Peck) an American reporter and Princess Ann (Hepburn). What we love about the movie other than watching Hepburn was that the various scenes that will bring you to the many beautiful attractions in Rome and just as the love story unfolds behind the backdrop of Rome’s beauty, so will you fall in love with the mystique and allure of Rome.
The Beach, Thailand
This movie will definitely appeal to the Hippie in you. Wandering off to a far and distant land while managing to discover new treasures and secret paradise along the way, all while wanting to feed your new found utopian ideology. The cinematography that came with the movie is stunning and if you are interested to visit the secret beach paradise that was in the movie, all you need to do is to fly into Phuket and take a boat to Koh Phi Phi and pay a fee to set your feet in paradise.
Bourne Ultimatum, Various Locations
You are not an international espionage agent until you can zip across a few countries in a matter of hours and that is why we love the Bourne Trilogy. The plot is riveting but the different locations the movie will bring you to are equally impressive. From Morocco, Madrid, London, Paris, Tangier, New York, India, Germany and etc. It will definitely evoke the super duper secret agent spy in you when you come across these locations during your travel.
Y Tu Mamá También, Mexico
A coming of age story of 2 teenage boys taking a road trip with an older woman that is set against the real political and economic backdrop and social conundrum of Mexico. During the movie, the main characters learns a thing or two about friendship, life and sex but most importantly about each other and that for us, is the reality of not traveling alone. It gives us the opportunity to learn more about our travel companions and ourselves when we take away our comfort zone and niceties that we are all used to.
