How to get there: To get to the island, a large number of international flights originate mainly in the USA, Canada and the United Kingdom and often provide direct service; some smaller airlines absorb regional and South American traffic. For cruise travelers, the Bridgetown Cruise Terminal is a point of disembarkation for thousands of passengers every year.

Travel Documentation and Custom Duty: All visitors must have a passport and a valid return ticket. All visitors with the exception of the citizens of the Caribbean Community, the USA, Canada and the United Kingdom are expected to obtain a visa before traveling to Barbados. Applications for visas must be completed in duplicate and accompanied by two passport sized photographs. The single-entry visa is obtainable from the Grantley Adams International Airport and is US$50.00; the multiple-entry visa is obtainable from any Barbados' overseas Mission and is US$60.00.
