How to get there:
By plane: Most overseas travelers from Europe will arrive at Mehrabad airport in Tehran. By now most flights from the Middle East, Central and South Asia land at the new Imam Khomeini International Airport based 37km southwest of Tehran and it is planned to move all international flights to this airport within the next few years
By rail: International passenger trains for Iran run weekly to/from Istanbul (Turkey) and Damascus (Syria).
By car: Many people drive to Iran via Turkey, in the absence of cheap flights.
